Creamy Lemon Hummus

I have been trying to perfect my hummus recipe for years, literally years. Hummus is truly one of my favorite foods and after trying hummus from all over the world, I found my favorite version to be Lebanese hummus. It is fresh, creamy and light with a nice lemon flavor. After years of trying to create my own version, tonight, this was born and I can say, I am quite pleased!

Here is what you will need:

1 Can of Chickpeas, drained

1 Large Lemon, juiced

1/4 Teaspoon of Lemon Zest

3 Fresh Garlic Cloves, minced

1 Tablespoon of Tahini

1/2 Teaspoon of Pink Salt

1 Teaspoon of Water

In a food processor, combine all ingredients and blend on high for 10 minutes. This may seem like a long time, but this is where the magic takes place! Stop the blending every few minutes to scrape the bowl and fully incorporate the hummus.

You are ready to enjoy it now or chill it in the fridge a bit before serving. Enjoy!
